Texas Chainsaw M., a band born in Ravenna in June 1986, composed of Giorgio Pozzi on bass and Cristiano Galassi on vocals, guitar, keyboards, drum machines and composition. The members come from previous experiences in musical contexts such as punk – post-punk, industrial electronic and noise music, alongside other, extra-musical artistic and literary music. Influenced by some of Burrougs’ writings, Miller, by gore-movies, by body-art and, in general by the entire splatter sub-culture, in December 1986 they recorded three songs which, thanks to the intercession of LM Records, resulted in an EP 12″ released in May 1987. There are video recordings for a hypothetical promo video clip which however have never seen the light. The group makes use of some external collaborators in live performances, such as: Chiara Gianstefani, Edoardo Donà and Alessandro Rigoni.
Texas Chainsaw M. is released in 1000 copies in the 12″ black vinyl EP format.
Many copies were destroyed by a storm that flooded the LM Records warehouse.
